Michael Raymond Seahorse Got Back Necklace at 11978000.00 IDR from Popmap
Michael Raymond Seahorse Got Back Necklace
Rp 11.978.000
On the way to Key West for my annual B-day celebration. We stopped at Shell World in Key Largo. If you ever get a chance, it's Magical. I bought several Alligator Toes/Hands and some Seahorses. Seahorses were molded and waxed. I then made some waxes of Vertebrae molds that My father left me. I connected the heads of the Sea Horses to the vertebrae forming a single link. The link was then cast in solid Sterling Silver. Five of these links were connected to a hand made ring to ring chain. ----- About the designer: Born and raised to a family of jewelers in Miami, Michael Raymond Pereira, the designer of the Michael Raymond jewelry brand, was destined to become a jeweler. He grew up shadowing his father Raymond Pereira on the bench, learning the intricate art and craftsmanship of fine jewelry production. from the day he could grip a pair of pliers, michael was working alongside his father, casting links, carving molds and turning precious metals into wearable works of art. Eventually, the music scene in miami captured Michael’s artistic attentions, and he left the bench behind for the bandstand, studying music at berklee college of music in boston. he created a fulfilling career as a musician and sound engineer on the west coast, but he never stopped making things with his hands. he often made jewelry as gifts for friends in his spare time and would revisit the bench whenever life afforded him quality time with his father. In 2005, Raymond passed way, leaving his entire studio – bench, tools and molds – to Michael. reconnecting with his father’s tools brought Michael solace and wonderful memories of creative collaborations with his father. Michael shipped all of the equipment to New York City and set up his own studio to revive his father’s legacy and develop his own distinctive voice as a jeweler. In 2011, Michael Raymond was born, a unique, provocative and enchanting line of limited edition fine jewelry that challenges our perceptions of function, form, beauty and adornment. the collections pay tribute to Michael’s father raymond and his partner donald beeby, using many of their unique molds and reinventing them in contemporary designs. Each piece is playful, yet sleek and simple, combining disparate elements, exploring the nature of man vs animal, or repurposing unusual found objects. “I get a kick out of using and combining different elements which normally would not go together,” says pereira. “I love to re-invent interesting objects and give them new functions or a surprising new sense of style. It’s fun to let my imagination create clever new uses for intriguing and beautiful things.” Every piece is handmade in new york by Michael Raymond himself and available on a limited edition basis. Animal parts find new expressions in bangles and pendants; missiles and bullets become earrings and charms; lollipops, porsches and barbed wire become rings. Michael Raymond Barrel of Monkeys Necklace at 12910000.00 IDR from Popmap
Michael Raymond Barrel of Monkeys Necklace
Rp 12.910.000
The Necklace started off with a set of vintage Barrel of Monkeys I found at a thrift shop. A couple of months earlier I found a travel size set. When I found the large ones I knew it was time to put this project in motion. I molded the monkey. Manipulating the wax version, I made the two arms touch the body to form a link. 5 Monkeys were then cast in White Brass. I then hand made ring for ring a 2 on 2 link chain out of bronze to hang the monkeys from. The chain was finished off with my signature Racoon Penis toggle clasp. The entire chain is 22". The monkeys are 1.5" High X 2" wide and the chain is 9mm thick. ----- About the designer: Born and raised to a family of jewelers in Miami, Michael Raymond Pereira, the designer of the Michael Raymond jewelry brand, was destined to become a jeweler. Michael Raymond The Sweet Sound of Silver Necklace Tie at 7315000.00 IDR from Popmap
Michael Raymond The Sweet Sound of Silver Necklace Tie
Rp 7.315.000
I'm sure I don't have to explain what this is. I see so many people walking around the city with their headphones draped around their neck, myself included. I always thought it would be cool to have a solid silver set one could wear as a tie like necklace. My headphones were molded and cast in sterling silver. I used silver wire for the connection between the earbuds and the clip. The wire can be manipulated to look any way you'd like them to hang. Silver snake chain was then soldered to the jack and headphones. The clip makes it possible to wear the necklace either long or short. ----- About the designer: Born and raised to a family of jewelers in Miami, Michael Raymond Pereira, the designer of the Michael Raymond jewelry brand, was destined to become a jeweler. Michael Raymond Huge Crystal CrossBone Necklace

I started this Energy Powerhouse Statement piece from a Vintage Plastic german Puff link I found on line and a Crystal I bought off a homeless man walking the streets of the East Village in NYC. With the link and the crystal sitting on my desk I saw it all finished. I made a mold of the puff link and cast 23 in Bronze. I used four waxes from my Raccoon Penis mold to manipulate them into a T-Clasp. Using the same Chicken Bones I used for my Wrist Bone bangle, a Bone Cross was made. I then made a wax holder of sort for the crystal to attach the Cross Bones that then attach to the chain. The Crystal can be removed from its holder for cleansing, recharging, programming and meditation. Chain itself is 30" and the crystal and Cross Bones is another 5". The links are 5/8" wide X 7/8" Long. The entire chain is Sterling Silver plated thickly over recycled Bronze. The chain is Pretty substantial weighing in at 12.1 oz. ----- About the designer: Born and raised to a family of jewelers in Miami, Michael Raymond Pereira, the designer of the Michael Raymond jewelry brand, was destined to become a jeweler. I found molds of a bunch of chicken bones amongst the molds left to me from my father. After checking out the wax injections, it became apparent that this was going to be a necklace. Each bone link was made in wax and rings were attached. For the charm I used a dried tree frog that was found in the grill of my fathers 1978 porsche 928. Said frog and chicken bones are cast in either solid brass or solid sterling silver. Jump rings connecting the bone links as well as the clasp are from a mold made of a chain from the 1715 spanish atocha wreck found off the coast of key west in 1984 by mel fisher. I know, random. 30.5" hangs below breast bone. ----- About the designer: Born and raised to a family of jewelers in Miami, Michael Raymond Pereira, the designer of the Michael Raymond jewelry brand, was destined to become a jeweler.
