Directed by Louis Leterrier, Danny the Dog (a.k.a. Unleashed) is international action star Jet Li's fifth Hollywood film. Instead of the heroic roles he has played in his previous works, Jet Li portrays a man who has been trained as a fierce dog and later wants to escape from his captor. Joined by Bob Hoskins and Academy Awards Best Supporting Actor Morgan Freeman, Jet Li exhibits his spectacular martial arts skills in many thrilling fight scenes choreographed by Yuen Woo Ping (Matrix). Danny (Jet Li) has been living with Bart (Bob Hoskins) ever since he was a kid. Deprived of contact with the outside world, he has learned only one thing from Bart: how to fight. Raised as a dog, complete with collar, Danny has become Bart's most powerful and lethal fighting machine. One day he meets Sam (Morgan Freeman), a blind piano tuner, and his step-daughter Victoria (Kerry Condon), and learns for the first times what kindness and affection mean. Danny wants to start a new life as a human being, but Bart isn't about to just let him go free. Left with no choice, Danny must fight again, but this time it's for his own future!

Having swept loads of accolades in various prestigious awards ceremonies, including the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, Best Actor at the Golden Globes, and more statues at BAFTA Awards and Independent Spirit Awards, The Wrestler was undoubtedly one of the cinematic heavyweights of 2008. Eighties superstar Mickey Rourke, who took a hiatus from acting and turned to professional boxing for a few years in the early 90s, makes his return to glory playing Randy "The Ram" Robinson in this Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream) film. A headlining pro wrestler back in the late 80s, Randy begins to evaluate the state of his life, trying to reconcile with his estranged daughter Stephanie (Evan Rachel Wood) and strike up a romance with an aging stripper named Cassidy (Academy Award winner Marisa Tomei). Yet all these cannot compare to the allure of the ring, which threatens to pull Randy back into his world of pro wrestling...

From director Yamada Yoji (The Twilight Samurai) comes The Hidden Blade (a.k.a. Kakushi Ken Oni no Tsume), another loving depiction of the bygone days of samurai heroism. Nagase Masatoshi (Shark Skin Man & Peach Hip Girl, Pistol Opera) stars as a samurai, whose adherence to his code of honor is tested by the forces around him. It is mid-nineteenth century Japan, and the way of the samurai is fading, as Western influences and corruption are slowly taking hold in Japan. Samurai Katagiri Munezo (Nagase Masatoshi) rescues a woman (Matsu Takako) who's being abused in her married life, but as a silent romance blossoms between them, his corrupt superiors challenge his honor. When the clan orders Katagiri to kill a fellow samurai fallen to corruption, can this man of honor - who has never killed - complete his duty? Like in The Twilight Samurai, Yamada Yoji explores complex themes in his depiction of the simple, yet conflicted life of a man following the strictest moral code. Full of fascinating detail and sublime humanity, The Hidden Blade is a marvelously-realized film that represents the best of what current Japanese cinema has to offer.

"I want Nobody, Nobody but you!"...Everybody sings in chorus to Just Call Me Nobody, whose stars are actually anything but! Arguably the most popular comedy duo in China, Zhao Benshan and his disciple Xiaoshenyang headline the costume comedy megahit that grossed around RMB160 million at the Mainland box office. Zhao also takes on producing duties for the laughfest helmed by Taiwan movie hitmaker Chu Yen Ping (Kung Fu Dunk), which is Xiaoshenyang's second starring vehicle after Zhang Yimou's A Simple Noodle Story. The China-Taiwan co-production boasts a host of other big names in its stellar cast, including Kelly Lin, Benny Chen, comedy veterans Jacky Wu, Eric Tsang, Wong Yat Fei, and Leung Ka Yan, plus TV child actor Xiao Xiao Bin in his movie debut. Audiences should also delight in the fact that the film's hilarious martial arts mayhem is the work of renowned action director Ching Siu Tung. Xiaoshenyang plays young shoemaker Wu Di, who grows up a martial arts comic book geek but totally uninitiated in real martial arts. Dreaming of watching a spectacular duel between the best kung fu fighters in the world, he sets off on an adventure in the treacherous martial world, unaware that he would one day become the master of all kung fu masters! On his eventful journey, Wu Di encounters a variety of peculiar characters, including a Jedi pirate (Zhao Benshan), a blind swordsman (Eric Tsang), a kung fu hermit (Jacky Wu), the emperor (Benny Chen), and the princess (Kelly Lin) who becomes our hero's love interest.

Acclaimed filmmaker Park Chan Wook returns to the director's chair to helm Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, one of the most highly anticipated Korean films of 2005. The film marks the end of Park's hugely popular "Vengeance Trilogy", a series of films that began with 2002's Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and continued with 2003's internationally successful Old Boy. Unlike most trilogies, this trio of pictures is united not by plot or by characters, but by its thematic content, namely, revenge and its terrible consequences. Actress Lee Young Ae (Joint Security Area, Jewel in the Palace) takes up the leading role in Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, portraying Geum Ja, a beautiful woman just released from jail after thirteen years of imprisonment. Her crime? The kidnapping and brutal murder of a young child. Through the use of flashbacks, it is revealed that Geum Ja was extremely kind and generous to the other prisoners during her internment, earning a widespread reputation as a veritable saint among the imprisoned women. However, Geum Ja's polite behavior masks her true intentions, for it seems she is totally innocent of the charges brought against her and is covertly hatching an elaborate plan to seek retribution on the twisted Mr. Baek, an English teacher played by Old Boy's Choi Min Sik who is responsible for her unjust conviction. And as soon as Geum Ja is released from prison, her demeanor changes. Once kind and considerate, she becomes cold and calculating. Enlisting the help of a retired cop (Nam Il Woo) and her daughter Jenny (who was adopted by an Australian couple during the anti-heroine's incarceration), Geum Ja sets in motion her plan for bitter vengeance, but will she succeed? Find out in Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, a film that may just prove why revenge is a dish best served cold! Hong Kong's top comedy filmmaker Lee Lik Chi is back in the director's chair, helming the long-awaited follow-up to his classic laughfest Flirting Scholar, the 1993 Stephen Chow blockbuster that grossed over HK$40 million at the box office. Since Chow was not available for a second outing, the over-the-top costume comedy casts popular actor Huang Xiaoming as a younger and perhaps, in a way, more comical Tong Bak Fu. Huang leads a stellar cast that includes acclaimed actress Zhang Jingchu, Taiwan star Richie Jen, Mainland comedian Zhou Libo, as well as returning cast members Nat Chan, Kingdom Yuen, Joey Leung, Mimi Chu, and Stephen Chow regulars Lam Tze Chung and Tin Kai Man. In the prequel to Flirting Scholar, Tong Bak Fu (Huang Xiaoming) and his poetically vulgar buddies Tsui Ching Hing (Richie Jen), Chuk Chi Shan (Nat Chan), and Man Ching Ming (Zhou Libo) - known collectively as the "Four Bad Boys" - get into troubles wherever they go. Tong's mother decides to send him to a famous boarding school to study, and makes him swear never to use his extraordinary kung fu skills again. Thinking that it means freedom for him, Tong happily obliges. Once there, he falls instantly for the gorgeous Cin Cin (Zhang Jingchu), unaware of the mysterious events that await him...

Patlabor, or Mobile Police Patlabor, is a classic name to anime fans. The police mecha franchise is the brainchild of Headgear, which consists of screenwriter Ito Kazunori, composer Kawai Kenji, scenarist Yuki Masami, character designer Takada Akemi, and, most notably, director Oshii Mamoru. The popular franchise has over the years spawned a manga, three anime series, and three feature-length films, the first of which was released in 1989. Directed by Oshii, this second Patlabor film was released in 1993 and, like other entries in the franchise, revolves around the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Special Vehicle Division 2 unit, which investigates crimes and accidents involving labor robots, or labors. Set three years after the events of the first movie, Patlabor 2 is darker and more mature than previous franchise releases, venturing into greater political and philosophical musings and implications. When a United Nations Labors team is attacked, it marks the beginning of war for Japan. As time ticks down, the Special Vehicle Division and other Japanese police units rush to prepare Japan against impending terrorist attacks, and panic slowly settles in the streets of Tokyo. Matters become even more complicated when the team discovers that the leader of the terrorist group is Captain Nagumo's former teacher and lover.

After directing the award-winning Always - Sunset on Third Street series, Yamazaki Takashi goes back even further in time with the time-travel jidaigeki war drama Ballad - Namonaki Koi no Uta. Inspired by an adventure from Crayon Shin-Chan, the story is presented through the eyes of a mischievous young boy, played by Takei Akashi, who time travels back to the Warring States era. SMAP's Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (Sinking of Japan), Aragaki Yui (Koizora), and Osawa Takao (Midnight Eagle) form a fated romantic triangle that leads to feudal war. As can be expected from Yamazaki, special effects are integrated organically into Ballad to re-envision Sengoku era Japan and to create the film's impressive war scenes. General Ijiri of Kasuga (Kusanaga Tsuyoshi) is a fierce warrior whose bravery on the battlefield has earned him the title of "demon". In matters of love, however, he can neither advance nor retreat. Ijiri and Princess Ren (Aragaki Yui) have been in love since their youth, but they are held back by class differences. To protect her clan, Ren acquiesces to marrying powerful warlord Okurai of Kitiganto (Osawa Takao) - until an accidental visitor from the future changes her mind. Enraged by her betrayal, Okurai wages war against Kasuga. This edition also comes with the Cantonese version of the film, featuring the voices of Patrick Tam, Johnson Lee, and Ava

After a trilogy of self-reflexive films that dealt with his role as an artist, actor-director-tough guy Kitano Takeshi returns to the genre that established him as a filmmaker. As the tagline on the posters indicates, everyone in Outrage is a villain. There is only violence in Kitano's brutal yakuza world, and the people in it will commit them in the name of power without blinking an eye. Kitano reportedly first wrote the film with the violence in mind - including a particularly memorable dental chair sequence - before inventing a story around it. The resulting product shocked and awed audiences at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, where it played in competition. Joining Kitano is an all-male cast featuring Shiina Kippei (Shinobi), Miura Tomokazu (Adrift in Tokyo), Kunimura Jun (Blood and Bones), and a scene-stealing Kase Ryo (Letters From Iwo Jima). In a casual conversation during a banquet, the Sanno-kai crime group chairman (Kitamura Soichiro) expresses to right-hand man Kato (Miura Tomokazu) his displeasure for the Ikemoto clan's connection to the Murase crew. To not violate the pact of brotherhood with the Murases, Ikemoto (Kunimura Jun) asks Otomo (Kitano Takeshi, as Beat Takeshi), the head of another Sanno-kai clan, to stir up trouble in the name of peace. This triggers a bloody gang war filled with ulterior motives, double crosses, and a long, long path of blood.

As Oku Hiroya's hit comic series Gantz continues into its 11th year, screenwriter Watanabe Yusuke (Bloody Monday, 20th Century Boys) and director Sato Shinsuke (Sands' Chronicle) now bring the sci-fi mystery to life with its big-budget film version. Arashi's Ninomiya Kazunari and Matsuyama Kenichi (Death Note) star as two childhood friends who die together and end up becoming warriors that fight aliens under the order of a giant, black orb. Shot as a two-part film, the first part sets up the Gantz puzzle with explosive violence, amazingly rendered special effects, and plenty of burning questions for audiences to ponder before the story reaches its exciting conclusion in Perfect Answer. While a large part of part two is altered from the original comic for the film, part one remains mostly faithful to the source material, featuring classic battles with alien creatures like the onion-head alien and the giant Buddha statue that will leave the audience breathless. One day, Kurono Kei (Ninomiya Kazunari) reunites with childhood friend Kato Masaru (Matsuyama Kenichi) in a subway station when they both help save a man on the tracks. After the two get killed in the process, they find themselves waking up in an empty room with a black orb in the center. Soon, they figure out that the orb sends them on missions to fight strange alien creatures, and each mission can help players earn points that go towards redeeming their own life back. While the two attempt to figure out the rules of the game, Kuruno falls for fellow player Kishimoto Kei (Natsuna), who is actually in love with Kato instead. This edition comes with France-Japan Expo promotion footage, making-of, and trailers.

After taking two lovers on a journey through Beijing in Lovers On The Road, independent filmmaker Jessey Tsang brings that journey of discovery home with her sophomore film Big Blue Lake. The story of an actress returning home to redeem her past sins, Tsang shot most of her exquisite drama at her home village of Ho Chung, a small, quiet rural area that is rarely seen in Hong Kong. A director of both narrative and documentary films, Tsang cast professional actors like Leila Tong and Lawrence Chou alongside real Ho Chung residents in the film - including her own father - to enhance the realist nature of the film. One of the most acclaimed Hong Kong independent films of 2011, Big Blue Lake has been screened at film festivals around the world, and Tsang was nominated for the Best New Filmmaker award at the Hong Kong Film Awards for her work. Lai Yee (Leila Tong) returns to her quiet rural village home in Hong Kong after an attempt at a career in Mainland China ends in failure. Having spent many years away, Lai Yee is shocked to discover that her mother (Amy Chum) is showing early symptoms of Alzheimer's, and her siblings have moved away. While she struggles to readjust to the village life, Lai Yee's former classmate Lin Jin (Lawrence Chou) comes back into her life. Together, they explore lost memories, a chance at love, and the mystical Big Blue Lake that will give them courage to start anew.

Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame proved that Tsui Hark has come back on sparkling form, and now the visionary Hong Kong filmmaker endeavors to create the first Chinese martial arts film in stunning IMAX 3D! He revisits the film Dragon Inn he produced two decades earlier (itself a remake of the 1967 King Hu wuxia classic), and co-writes, directs, and produces the epic follow-up Flying Swords of Dragon Gate with a revamped story and much more sophisticated production values. Supported by a top-caliber crew including acclaimed director Jacob Cheung (A Battle of Wits), action choreographer Yuen Bun (The Blade), and 3D effects guru Chuck Comisky (Avatar), Tsui manages to advance the genre and bring it to a whole new dimension. Leading the all-star cast is kung fu icon Jet Li, who joins forces with Tsui for the first time since they collaborated on the legendary Once Upon a Time in China series. His co-stars include Zhou Xun (The Banquet) playing a martial arts heroine, Aloys Chen (Painted Skin) in dual roles, Guey Lun Mei (The Stool Pigeon), Chris Lee (Bodyguards and Assassins), singer Mavis Fan, plus action stars Louis Fan and Gordon Liu. A huge critical and commercial success, Flying Swords of Dragon Gate has swiftly grossed over RMB500 million at the China box office to reach mega-blockbuster status, and garnered heaps of praises at various international film festivals and a whopping 13 nominations at the 31st Hong Kong Film Awards. During the Ming Dynasty, China was practically ruled by evil eunuchs. In a mission to rescue persecuted officials, righteous swordsman Zhao Huai'an (Jet Li) assassinates the vicious East Chamber commander Wan Yulou (Gordon Liu), thus making himself the prime target of the West Chamber overlord Yu Huatian (Aloys Chen). Zhao and company flee to the vast, sprawling desert on the frontier, and seek refuge at the infamous Dragon Gate Inn, which was rebuilt after being burned down in a blaze three years ago. There, the fugitives come head-to-head with a variety of mysterious figures - swordswoman Ling Yanqiu (Zhou Xun), hunted palace maid Su Huirong (Mavis Fan), a deadly tribal princess (Guey Lun Mei), a pair of bandits (Chris Lee and Aloys Chen), and secret agents from the West Chamber. When Yu Huatian and his henchmen track them down to the inn, everyone's fate will be decided in an earth-shattering showdown amidst the all-devouring sandstorm...

Johnnie To's Election was a major box-office success and a multiple winner at the Hong Kong Film Awards. The momentum carries on in Election 2, an effective sequel to the original film, which expands upon the plot and, more importantly, the themes of the original. Like Election, Election 2 centers on a power struggle between two triad leaders. Simon Yam reprises his role as Lok, the ambitious Wo Sing chairperson in Election. In the sequel he seeks a second term of office, a feat never before attempted in the gang. His opponent, instead of coming from his peers like in Election, is the rising young triad leader Jimmy, played by Louis Koo. The astounding storytelling and visually powerful sequences expose the darker side of human nature during their power struggle, in a style that no one can do better than HK's genre film master Johnnie To. It has been two years since Lok (Simon Yam) quite literally beat Big D to head the Wo Sing triad, and now is the time for another round of elections. The two-year term cannot satisfy Lok's greed for power, and he attempts to violate the gang's rules and seek a second term. Nick Cheung and Gordon Lam return as the Wo Sing members who have also shown interest in the chairman's seat, while Lam Suet and Eddie Cheung are triads who seem content with what they have. Jimmy (Louis Koo), the up-and-coming triad entrepreneur is too involved in his pirate VCD business to run for office. But the influential Uncles, led by Deng (Wong Tin Lam), want to groom him, and Jimmy soon finds out that chairman status is essential for expanding his business on the Mainland. In Election 2, Johnnie To has made his political references even more explicit than in the first film. Those who have stayed in touch with Hong Kong's political news will find much amusement in the film's denouement. But even those who have not will find much to delight them in To's sharp and witty observations on Hong Kong's election system.

Johnnie To offers a very different take on the Hong Kong triad genre in Election. Simon Yam Tat Wah and Tony Leung Ka Fai portray two triad leaders who struggle with each other to head the Wo Sing Society. The film never romanticizes triad leaders as heroes (like the Young and Dangerous series), nor condemns them as criminals, but offers an extremely realistic portrayal of gangsters as human beings. Apart from the two superstars Simon Yam and Tony Leung as potential Chairpersons Big D and Lok respectively, the film also has Louis Koo playing the young, brilliant, and college-educated rising star in the triad. Veteran Wong Tin Lam is the influential senior triad member Uncle Teng. Well-experienced actors including Nick Cheung, Eddie Cheung, Lam Suet, and Gordon Lam, who has excelled in many other Johnnie To movies, vividly portray other gangsters in the film, and Maggie Shiu is Tony Leung's wife. The film title Election already spells out the plot: it follows the Chairman selection process in the Wo Sing Society. The film opens with the ceremonial rituals of the Chairman's inauguration, which reminds us of the Society's origin being a centuries-old institution once with a virtuous aim of overthrowing tyranny. Ironically, while the head of the Wo Sing Society is still elected by senior triad members nowadays, the temperamental Big D (Tong Leung) and the calculating Lok (Simon Yam) both attempt to beat their competitors by all means, including bribing the seniors and bullying the opponents. The intervention from the police and Uncle Teng (Wong Tin Lam), and the conflicts and cooperation among the junior triad members, etc, lead to complicated politics and, undoubtedly, fierce fights as well. Even without a single gunshot, the film still contains plenty of spectacular actions alongside in-depth depiction of human nature during power struggle. Johnnie To enriches the film with a political allusion to the present day Hong Kong, making this excellent title more than just another triad movie.

Renowned Hong Kong director Ann Hui (Summer Snow) has perhaps made the crowning achievement of her marvelous career with A Simple Life, a crowd-pleasing human drama that quietly tugs at viewers' heartstrings with its restrained sentiments and delicately drawn characters. A solemn yet humorous exploration of seniority, the film tells a bittersweet story revolving around the lives of elderly maid Sister Tao and her master, played respectively by veteran actress Deanie Ip and superstar Andy Lau, whose past screen collaborations serve to inspire enormous chemistry between their characters. Their impeccable performances have earned numerous prestigious prizes for the film, including Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival, Best Director, Actor, and Actress at the Golden Horse Awards, and the rare feat of the Big Five (Best Film, Director, Screenplay, Actor, and Actress) at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Based on the true story of producer Roger Lee, A Simple Life also features a number of famous stars and filmmakers in supporting or cameo roles, including Qin Hailu, Anthony Wong, Paul Chun, Chapman To, and Sammo Hung, among many others. Sister Tao (Deanie Ip) has served five generations of the Leung family since she was thirteen. Today, at over seventy years old, she continues to take care of Roger (Andy Lau), the only member of the family left in Hong Kong. After suffering a stroke at home one day, Tao realizes it's about time she retired, so she asks Roger to find her a nursing home for rehabilitation. Tao struggles to adjust to the strange new environment as well as her eccentric fellow inmates, but Roger is there to care for this mother figure who has devoted her life to his. Hong Kong Version Blu-ray comes with film trailers, making-of, deleted scenes, and director and stars interviews.

Hong Kong Version 2D+3D Blu-ray comes with 126 minutes of special features, including making-of, behind-the-scenes, cast & crew interviews, trailers, and director's commentary.

Following her breakout performance in You Are the Apple of My Eye, Michelle Chen lends her goddess-like charm to The Soul of Bread. She's caught between two suitors in Taiwan directors Sean Kao and Lin Chun Yang's bakery-themed romantic comedy based on Kao's award-winning TV movie of the same name from 2006. The filmmakers enriched the story for the theatrical remake, with more lighthearted humor, cultural insights, and a little nostalgic sentiment thrown in the mix. Casting has also been updated, with popular comedian Chen Han Dian (Jump Ashin!) taking lead role for the first time and singer Anthony Neely making his film debut here. The yummy crowd-pleaser also features veterans Liao Chun, Chen Ying Chieh, Samantha Ko, Janel Tsai, and Michelle Chen's Apple co-stars "Wan Wan" Hu Chia Wei and Yan Sheng Yu in key supporting roles. The daughter of the owner of a small-town bakery in Kaohsiung, Hsiao Ping (Michelle Chen) has grown up together with baker Gao Bing (Chen Han Dian), who considers Hsiao Ping his future bride. But Hsiao Ping actually has a dream that doesn't belong here, so for the last six years, she has refused to say yes to Gao Bing's numerous proposals. One day, a handsome Eurasian celebrity chef named Brad (Anthony Neely) comes to the peaceful town in search of inspirations, and finds his late mother's favorite bread at the bakery. Brad is immediately smitten with Hsiao Ping, who is also fond of him and arranges for him to become Gao Bing's apprentice. Gao Bing, desperately vying for his goddess's affection, challenges Brad to a baking showdown. Which will Hsiao Ping choose - the familiar Taiwanese taste or the endearing European sensation?

Lau Ching Wan returns as an eccentric genius detective in Republican-era Shanghai in The Vanished Murderer, the sequel to the 2012 hit The Bullet Vanishes. Again directed by Law Chi Leung and produced by Derek Yee, this engrossing murder mystery squeezes in even more twists and turns into its dense crime puzzle involving Gordon Lam (Firestorm), Rhydian Vaughan (GF*BF), Guo Xiaodong (Blind Massage) and Jiang Yiyan, reprising her role from the first film. Detective Song Donglu (Lau Ching Wan) finds himself pursuing the beguiling Fu Yuan (Jiang Yiyan) once again after she makes an ingenuous prison escape. Just as he's about to arrest her on the street, a man falls to his death from a nearby building and Fu Yuan slips away in that moment of distraction. There is, however, much more to the story. Fu Yuan had deliberately brought Donglu to the scene to witness the man's fall, but why? And is his death a suicide or murder? Donglu, along with his new assistant (Jacqueline Li, Personal Tailor), sets out to get to the bottom of the mystery that is far more complex and sinister than meets the eye.

Zhang Muye's best-selling novel series Ghost Blows Out the Light about tomb-raiding adventurers inspired two high-profile films in 2015, Wu'ershan's Mojin - The Lost Legend and Lu Chuan's Chronicles of the Ghostly Tribe. While the former is a crowd-pleasing blockbuster adaptation, the latter turned into a different fantastical beast in the hands of auteur Lu Chuan. Known for acclaimed works like City of Life and Death and Kekexili: Mountain Patrol, Lu departs from the source material to offer his own atmospheric take of the action-adventure that once again confirms that the director makes films to his own beat. Featuring dazzling special effects and cinematography, Chronicles of the Ghostly Tribe ventures into the great unknown with an all-star cast that includes Mark Chao, Yao Chen, Rhydian Vaughan, Li Chen, Tiffany Tang and Li Guangjie. In 1979, Hu Bayi (Mark Chao), along with Professor Yang (Wang Qingxiang) and his daughter Yang Ping (Yao Chen), leads an expedition deep into the Kunlun Mountains to investigate the origins of some strange fossils. During the expedition, the team gets attacked by mysterious creatures and comes upon a tower harboring unknown powers. In the end, Bayi alone makes it back out of the mountain. After leaving the army, Bayi returns to Beijing where he regularly receives information from an unknown source concerning Professor Yang's research into an ancient tribe civilization. Strange events continue to occur including Yang Ping and Professor Yang seemingly returning from the dead. Guided by a mysterious force, Bayi must return to where this all started the tower they opened years ago and a mystery that dates back centuries. Note: 3D television, 3D Blu-ray player and 3D glasses are required to view the 3D version of the film.

Having found box office success with the romances The Stolen Years and Girls, director Barbara Wong adds supernatural and suspense elements to romantic melodrama in The Secret. Working together for the first time, Leon Lai and Wang Luodan (To the Fore) play a married couple who find their way back to each other through life and death. Taiwan actress Sandrine Pinna and singer JJ Lin join the refreshing cast lineup as the protagonists' relatives who learn of their secret. A hiking trip turned into tragedy for Kaifeng (Leon Lai) and his wife Qiujie (Wang Luodan) when they encountered a deadly accident on the mountains. Kaifeng alone returned home, and he's been struggling with grief since. Then one day, Qiujie's spirit suddenly comes home, but she doesn't remember anything. A spirit medium told Kaifeng that only those who truly care about Qiujie can see her, and that she will disappear if she knows that she is a spirit. Kaifeng tries his desperate best to keep this secret from Qiujie and those around them. However, as Qiujie regains her memories of Kaifeng and their son, the shocking truth is also gradually revealed. This edition includes trailer and behind-the-scenes featurettes on Barbara Wong trilogy, mountain shoot, JJ Lin and Vienna.

Created in 1988 by Headgear, Patlabor is a police and crime procedural revolving around the Tokyo Metropolitan Police whose officers pilot mecha called Patlabors. The franchise includes manga, light novels, an anime series and multiple animated films, most notably Oshii Mamoru's 1989 classic Patlabor: The Movie. In 2014 and 2015, the Patlabor universe was revived in an ambitious live-action project titled The Next Generation -Patlabor- which consists of a 13-episode series split theatrically into seven parts and a feature film. A sequel to the original Patlabor timeline, The Next Generation is set in 2013 after the end of the Babylon Project. Division 2 of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police struggles to stay afloat amid budget cuts and Labors falling increasingly out of use, though Labor crime continues to be high. Mano Erina (Tag) leads Special Vehicle Section 2's third generation as pilot Izuminio Akira. The final installment of the project, the feature film The Next Generation -Patlabor- Tokyo War, directed by Oshii Mamoru, turns Tokyo into a battleground when terrorists steal the Self-Defense Force's newest state-of-the-art fighter helicopter Gray Ghost and use it to attack the city. With Tokyo's ten million residents being held hostage, it's up to the Special Vehicle Section 2 unit to take back the city. This edition comes with the 119-minute Director's Cut of the film.

Produced by Johnnie To and Yau Nai Hoi, the gritty Milkyway thriller Trivisa stars Richie Jen, Gordon Lam and Jordan Chan as notorious criminals facing crossroads in their lives and livelihoods on the eve of Hong Kong's Handover back to China in 1997. New directors Frank Hui, Vicky Wong and Jevons Au are each responsible for one actor's portion in the tense collision course of three thieves of different feathers, all of whom are inspired by infamous real-life mobsters that topped Hong Kong's most wanted list. Like with the Election series, Trivisa is more than just a crime thriller: the film's characters and choices reflect on the Hong Kong mentality and feelings of insecurity, frustration, anger and helplessness as the Handover looms ahead. Trivisa swept Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Editing and Best Actor for Gordon Lam at the 36th Hong Kong Film Awards. Known for brazen armed robberies and police shootouts in broad daylight, Yip Kwok Foon (Richie Jen) decides to hang up his boots and seek his fortunes in the profitable trade of cross-border electronics smuggling. Though the money is good, he has to constantly wine, dine and kowtow to corrupt Chinese officials to get things done, a process that eats away at his pride. The cautious and meticulous Kwai Ching Hung (Gordon Lam) has pulled off numerous small-scale heists in his time, but he's managed to stay off the police radar by using pseudonyms and maintaining a low profile. The flashy and lavish Cheuk Tse Keung (Jordan Chan) makes his money through abducting and extorting tycoons, and he lives it up accordingly in the loudest and flashiest of ways. These three kings of thieves have nothing to do with each other, but rumors begin to spread in the underworld that they're planning to join forces to pull off something big before the Handover. This edition comes with special features including making-of, directors' featurette, character profiles and trailers.

Directed by Herman Yau, Hong Kong gangster thriller The Mobfathers references the city's politically charged atmosphere with the timely allegorical tale of a triad's contentious transition of power as it prepares to elect its newest leader. Chapman To, who also served as the film's producer, stars as the defiant gangster who challenges the election process, while Anthony Wong plays the godfather who wields ultimate power. Prepare for all-out war in the streets of Hong Kong when the violent maneuvering of underworld politics meets the creative lobbying of election politics! After serving a five-year sentence, gang leader Chuck (Chapman To) returns to the outside world, only to find that it's not exactly a glorious welcome that awaits him. He gets attacked the minute he steps out of jail, his wife (Bonnie Xian) treats him coldly, and his underlings now answer more to his buddy (Philip Keung) who took care of things in his absence. Meanwhile, the time has come to select a new "Dragon Head" to nominally lead the entire triad organization. With the big boss (Anthony Wong) diagnosed with terminal cancer, this election is more crucial than ever, and Chuck decides to stand for the triennial election against the big boss's handpicked incumbent (Tony Ho) and flamboyant upstart rival Wulf (Gregory Wong). The Dragon Head is traditionally selected by a small council of triad elders, but with the system stacked against him, Chuck calls for an open election in which every triad member gets a vote. This edition comes with making-of features.

From the creators of the hit 2014 horror film The House That Never Dies comes the chilling follow-up Phantom of the Theatre. Director Raymond Yip and writer-producer Manfred Wong shift the haunting locale from a mansion to a theater, with Ruby Lin again in the starring role. She's joined this time by Tony Yang (The Crossing) and Simon Yam (The Tenants Downstairs). Set in 1930s Shanghai, Phantom of the Theatre not only unfolds ghostly scares and a tragic love story, it also pays tribute to China's first horror film, the 1937 classic Song at Midnight. Thirteen years ago, a big fire in a theater claimed the lives of an entire acrobatic troupe. The theater reopens years later as a cinema, but stories of terrifying ghost encounters scare everyone away. Intrigued by the rumors, young director Gu Weibang (Tony Yang) decides to shoot a ghost love story at the theater and convinces top actress of the day Meng Sifan (Ruby Lin) to be the star of the film but people soon start dropping dead in mysterious fashion.

Shortlisted as a Recommended Film of 2016 by the Hong Kong Film Critics Society, the indie youth baseball drama Weeds on Fire is inspired by the little known real-life story of Hong Kong's first youth baseball team, the Shatin Martins. Set in 1984, writer-director Steve Chan's remarkable debut feature stars award-winning veteran Liu Kai Chi as Lo, an impassioned school principal who wants to reform wayward students through sports. Despite baseball being a relatively unknown sport not played by locals, he manages to secure funding for a youth team and fills it with kids from low-income families, including childhood friends Ah Lung (Sing Lam, High Noon) and Sai Wai (Hong Kong National Baseball Team member Tony Wu). Used to being the center of attention, the tough and brash Sai Wai naturally takes up the position of pitcher, but Lo recognizes that the quiet and team-oriented Lung is a better fit for the role. Baseball, girls and growing up change the dynamics of their friendship, creating an increasing rift as they train for competition and take different paths. This edition comes with deleted scenes, music videos, making-of and trailer.

Over the past decade, Iwai Shunji has departed from his original style to expand his repertoire to documentaries, animation and English-language efforts. The auteur finally returns to the filmmaking style and themes that first made him famous in the long-awaited A Bride for Rip Van Winkle. Starring award-winning actress Kuroki Haru (The Little House), Ayano Go (Shinjuku Swan) and singer Cocco (Kotoko), Iwai's first Japanese live-action narrative feature in 12 years is adapted from his own novel about a lonely young woman who is shaken awake from her placid life and thrown into a journey guided by her yearning to make a connection. Timid part-time teacher Nanami (Kuroki Haru) has little going on for her in life besides spending too much time on her favorite online network. Through social media, she meets Tetsuya (Jibiki Go), and the two begin dating and quickly get engaged. Uneasy about her lack of guests to invite to the wedding, Nanami seeks the help of online fixer Amuro (Ayano Go) to hire extras to pose as relatives. Soon after the wedding, she begins to suspect that her husband is having an affair, but her mother-in-law accuses her first of cheating. Her marriage broken, Nanami suddenly finds herself without a husband or a job, but Amuro is again on hand to arrange odd jobs for her. Nanami eventually takes up a job as a live-in maid at a strange unoccupied mansion where she develops a close bond with fellow housekeeper Mashiro (Cocco). This edition comes with the 179-minute Director's Cut of the film and a 12-minute Iwai Shunji interview (English subtitled). It also comes with two postcards and an owl origami.

Two brothers try to create a miracle in I Wish, the latest film from acclaimed Japanese director Kore-eda Hirokazu (Nobody Knows, Still Walking). Despite being produced for a mass audience and various commercial interests (including Japan Rail), the editor-writer-director manages to retain his signature documentary style and his eye for capturing subtly powerful emotional moments. Real-life stand-up comedy team/siblings Maeda Maeda (comprised of 12-year-old Koki and 10-year-old Oshiro) make their big screen debut as separated brothers who hope to reunite their family with the magic power of the new Kyushu bullet train route. In addition to the adorable Maeda brothers, I Wish also features a stellar adult cast that includes Odagiri Joe (Tokyo Tower), Otsuka Nene (Hero), Kiki Kirin (Villain), Hashitsume Isao (Space Battleship Yamato), Natsukawa Yui (Still Walking), Abe Hiroshi (Trick), Nagasawa Masami (The Last Princess), and Harada Yoshio. After their parents' divorce, brothers Koichi (Maeda Koki) and Ryunosuke (Maeda Oshiro) are forced to live separately. While the older Koichi is miserable in Kagoshima with his mother (Otsuka Nene) and grandparents (Kiki Kirin and Hashitsume Isao), the younger Ryunosuke enjoys a laid-back life with his musician father (Odagiri Joe) in Fukuoka. Despite their different lives, the two brothers - who often contact each other on their cell phones - want desperately for their family to reunite. One day, Koichi hears that the energy generated when two trains on the new Kyushu bullet train line pass each other can make any wish come true, as long as the wisher is present. Koichi and Ryunosuke then decide to hatch a plan - with the assistance of their friends and other adults - that involves meeting at where the two trains pass and combine their wishes for a better chance of a reunion.
